TRIAL APRILIA Climber 280 from 1992 (MOT OK)

Magnificent machine completely restored in 2020.

Technical inspection carried out by Autosur on April 26, 2024.

The homologation kit can be dismantled in 1/2 hour (indicators, battery, mirrors, speedometer, etc.) to restore it to trials configuration.

It's a very sturdy, powerful and flexible trial (Rotax 280 engine) and ideal for the zone or rando (4.5 l fuel tank).

It works perfectly and starts up at the first kick.

I leave it with the rando saddle and a trial saddle.

New or very recent parts:

Complete new paintwork by a professional painter.

Engine rebuilt by previous owner in 2018 (rebuilt and balanced connecting rod, bearings and vilo spys, seals).

Electrical wiring harness completely rebuilt with lighting and LEONELLI magnetic contact breaker.

Fork drained and fork spys changed.

Complete rebuild of connecting rods (bushing cages, spys, ball joints, etc.).

Gearbox drain.

New NGK spark plug.

Dellorto carburetor rebuilt (new needle, well and gaskets) and ultrasonically cleaned.

New TWINAIR air filter.

MICHELIN Competition front tire as new.

MICHELIN Competition X11 rear tire as new.

New GALFER front and rear brake pads.

New NSK front and rear wheel bearings with spys.

New chain shoe.

New chain kit.

All stainless steel screws and bolts changed.

I give with the motorcycle: 

A cylinder with piston (diameter 76 in excellent condition with no scratches) and cylinder head, a lower engine with crankcases, bearings out of order, gearbox and a clutch), a front wheel with tire and boxes of parts (shock absorber, carburettor, rear master cylinder and rear brake caliper, wheel axles, brake pedal, front/rear brake pads, plastics, a tank, rear mudguard, radiator with hoses and expansion tank, intermediate pot, etc.). Climber part list and Rotax part list.

Due to lack of time, I've done very little riding with this superb Aprilia, and have only done a few randos and zones since its restoration.
