Replacement electronic ignition for the 1973–1982 Yamaha TY 250 twin-shock, with variable ignition advance and 12 V lighting. The kit includes a rotor, stator, coil, regulator, flywheel puller and fitting instructions.
We offer ignition systems designed and manufactured specifically for us. Rotor selection takes the engine’s design and the desired riding characteristics into account, rather than engine capacity alone.
The benefit of variable ignition advance
Unlike the original fixed-advance magneto ignition, this system automatically adjusts the spark timing to engine speed. This can give the engine a smoother, more progressive response across its operating range. In trials riding, it helps the rider meter the power accurately and maintain better control in technical sections.
