Pre-set electronic ignition for Yamaha TY 50 and 80 models, with variable advance and 12 V lighting.
Manufactured specifically for France Trial Classic to an exclusive design, this ignition is made for Yamaha TY 50 and 80 models. Its variable-advance system automatically adjusts ignition timing to engine speed, helping provide smoother, more progressive response. The ignition is pre-set, so there is no need to calculate the timing advance.
Variable advance and engine response
Unlike a fixed-advance magneto ignition, this system adjusts ignition timing to engine speed. This helps deliver more progressive response and makes the power easier to modulate through technical sections.

Installation note: the supplied HT ignition coil is larger than the original. You may need to adjust the angle of the mounting brackets and drill the coil mounting plate to secure it with one or two screws. The coil can be fitted elsewhere, provided it is properly grounded. This avoids the need to cut the frame.
The ignition is pre-set, so no timing advance calculation is required. Follow the supplied instructions for installation.
